I remember hearing this in some techno music compilation on YouTube back like 5 years ago and loving this song in particular until it was taken off YouTube (I assume for copyright) and I spent like 4 years trying to find this as I didn't know the name of it. I assumed it was an NCS track as most of the songs in that video were, but it wasn't until the compilation was re-uploaded in 2024 (I searched it up out of curiosity) and I remember being so damn happy when this track played at like 10 pm. I couldn't find it's name though as it wasn't listed but I was playing it in the background while drawing or something like that and my brother was in the room and he said he recognised the song and said it was from a flash game so after a bit of digging, I found a low quality re-upload on YouTube which I put onto my playlist and it's only today that I actually went and searched it up on Newgrounds as I knew Armour Mayhem was a Newgrounds game.
I really like this song, in case you couldn't tell.
synth go woooo ooo woooooooo
On paper it sounds cringe, but it's actually pretty good in the execution, which surprised me as I played this fully expecting it to be a cheesy christmas remix (I don't know why). The vocals are good and the music bits have a good beat to it.
Thank you :) I appreciate your review. Especially your opinion on the singing, because it was the first time I used vocals and the first time I recorded live vocals.
Not bad, but I think it's too long.
Trance is about progression (usually songs take around 4 to +10 mins), so maybe it's not suitable for you.
sorta sounds like the cinematic trailer to a sci-fi film
It's a bit repetitive and not too interesting in the layers. Decent beat, but nothing special.
fuck yeah! beep boops!
cool
Random fact: all the voicelines I did (that wasn't the ad) weren't scripted so I just recorded chunks of audio of me improvising random stuff and hoping for the best. I was going to do it all in 1 take but then I couldn't think of anything to add so to avoid long silences I recorded each paragraph separately so I could do multiple takes and that's why it sounds like I actually know what I'm talking about.
fire 🔥🔥🔥tysm for doing voicelines!!!
You name it; if it's on a computer I probably do it or have tried it. God I have too many hobbies and I love it.
